We have to start our story in one million b.c. because there is nothing ridiculous about that.Namor has become a full-fledged villian. I guess that means he is no longer an X-Man?The Soviet Super Soldiers and Squadron Supreme are suddenly relevant after 30 or so years of being half a step above Paste Pot Pete in the Marvel hierarchy. But out of all this silliness, the thing that most jumps out as wrong is this; the Avengers make Black Panther their chairman, and all of a sudden they are enemies of the Untied States. WTF? It's not like this is the first time the Panther has been chairman. It's not like Wakanda is North Korea. It's not like Captain America has defected. This is just too forced a conflict to hold any real relevance to the real world, and so out of character that I just can't care where it will lead. Not sure I'll be reading any more new Avengers books any time soon.

I stopped reading the Avengers after the Last Host story. I didn't like the MCU style team and the story didn't get me interested. I started hearing good things about the series and gave it another chance. So far so good.

Aaron keeps us guessing. Not your dad's Avengers. Surprised throughout. Cool structure. Artwork is solid also. Already downloading the sequel.

The headline says it all. Check out some really fun story telling. Layered. Subtle. Bombastic. Funny. Thought-provoking. All at once.

Super stoked to see Blade, Wolverine, and Dracula in this issue. It sounds like the vampire story will really be kicking up a notch in the next one. Can't wait to see Blade do what Blade does. I'm not sure to what capacity they will be using Wolverine, but I'm interested to see how that plays out as well.

This series just can't seem to take off. The characters are familiar, but the circumstances and emotions make them not seem like real people, and are too often contrived. The story is being pushed forward in a stilted fashion, in fits and starts. Aaron is trying to build something grand, but as of this second graphic novel, it's not working, and I don't think I can stand to slot through another one just to see where he's going.

Great story and great art work. I read this with my son and we both enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Two volumes (or 12 issues) into Jason Aaron's run, it still feels like he's setting things up for the story he really wants to tell. What we get for the time being is a mixed bag, some hints at what might happen in future issues, and a thorough shake-up of how we thought the Avengers worked and the team itself. None of it is really bad but very few parts are genuinely exciting. But it could lead to something great, so I'm giving 3 stars for the book itself but adding another one for what so far looks like a promising future.

Loving the new avengers team. Can't wait to read the next graphic novel. They have blade on their team. Would also like to read agents of Wakanda

Gosto muito do rumo que Aaron está dando aos Vingadores.
Pantera Negra como chairman, tratando os Vingadores como uma grande corporação com varias divisões está bem interessante.

Great return to form. I hated the Hickman era and was happy to see the avengers in good hands again.
