In issue number 17 we find a continuation of the Mad Hatter's plot and we receive a glimpse of his past as he relives happier times and tries desperately to relive their elements in a much darker present. The images and dialogue are unforgettable and the art is truly among the best in the industry. Most fascinating are Jervis's attempts to create his own Wonderland by exploiting others with his mind control technology. Also his memories from his childhood provide an in-depth study of his early live and his development into one of Batman's most twisted foes. Truly a great story and an engaging plot. The narration of the Mad Hatter's past is of a particularly well-written and beautiful quality.
