About the Author

SEAN MURPHY est né à Nashua, dans le New Hampshire, à l'automne 1980. Il s'intéresse aux comics dès l'école primaire et passe tous ses après-midi à dessiner au lieu de se faire des amis. Il débute véritablement sa formation artistique à Salem, en tant qu'élève de Leslie SWANK, peintre, dessinateur et vétéran de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Après avoir été diplômé de l'université Pinkerton Academy, en 1999, il entre au Massachussetts College of Art de Boston, puis au Savannah College of Art and Design. Avant la fin de son parcours scolaire, Sean collabore déjà avec l'éditeur Dark Horse sur les titres Star Wars. Diplômé de SCAD, il part pour Hollywood où il travaille pour le jeu vidéo et le cinéma tout en réalisant des pages pour Star Trek, Teen Titans et Batman/Scarecrow: Year One. Off ROad est sa première création d'auteur, initialement publiée par Onipress, en 2005. Elle fut récompensée par l'American Library Association Award à sa sortie. Peu de temps après, Sean signe un contrat d'exclusivité avec DC Comics et s'installe à New York. Il y réalise pour le label Vertigo les titres qui le feront connaître du grand public : Hellblazer - City Of angels (Mauvais sang en VF), JOe tHe baRbaRian (JOe l'aventuRe intérieure), American vampire (American Vampire Legacyy tome 1). Sa création la plus récente s'intitule PUNK ROCK JESUS. Il vit à Brooklyn avec sa femme Colleen, et leurs deux chiens : Red et Bebop.

Très bonne surprise cette histoire complète. Le joker a été en contact avec un médicament expérimental et reprend un comportement civil et intègre même la police de Gotham. Le reste vous le découvrirez par vous-même. Le style graphique ne peut pas plaire à tout le monde mais il ne doit pas être un frein à votre découverte.
