About the Author

Cara was born in Colorado, moved around a whole bunch, earned her BFA in Sequential Art at SCAD-Atlanta, then moved around some more until the woods finally claimed her. From there she creates comics and illustrations for companies that include Comixology (.Self), IDW (Star Wars Adventures), DC (Black Canary: Ignite), BOOM! (Dodge City, Over the Garden Wall), Chronicle Books, Cards Against Humanity, and more.

This telling of Black Canary, or at least a new version, is artistically cute and well done. Its fun and silly and i like that in a story but it doesnt take away from her origin

I LOVED IT! Short and cute read definitely good for young readers and I loved it even though i’m not really a young viewer.. it’s so cute and is perfect if you want to hear black canary’s backstory!!
