Black Panther: Long Live The King (2017-2018) #3 (of 6) Kindle & comiXology
As the Black Panther and an Avenger, T'Challa has had to save the world time and again -- but those duties pale in comparison to his responsibilities as king of Wakanda. As the nation rebuilds in the wake of revolution, T'Challa finds his people besieged by a massive monster tearing through the country, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake! From acclaimed novelist NNEDI OKORAFOR (BINTI, WHO FEARS DEATH) and illustrator ANDRE ARAUJO (SPIDEY, THE WICKED + DIVINE) comes an adventure set in the world of Ta-Nehisi Coates' landmark BLACK PANTHER run and told in the Mighty Marvel Manner!

Change of personnel, yet still compelling.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 28, 2022
A continuation of “Black Panther: Long Live The King”, and Part 3 sees T’Challa forced down a new path, a subplot where he must search for a new enemy who is behind the Gorilla Cult attacks on the Northern villages of Wakanda. This new direction also sees a change of writer in the form of Aaron Covington, with artwork courtesy of Mario Del Pennino.
I have to admit that, having thoroughly enjoyed the first two parts, I was sceptical about whether this would feel like a continuation, in light of all the changes. I was pleasantly surprised. The artwork and general narrative fits perfectly alongside the previous issues, albeit with the new direction in terms of plot. The storyline was compelling and the artwork as vibrant as in the first two parts, I wouldn’t have known about the change of personnel had I not studied the inside front cover.
So, a complete change in direction, but one that offers something new whilst retaining the bold, colourful feel of the preceding stories. This exceeded my expectations, probably my favourite issue so far.
