Collects Black Panther (1998) #18-35, Deadpool (1997) #44.

When T'Challa falls to the one foe he's never beaten, Killmonger earns the right to become the new Black Panther! Now, only Everett K. Ross can save T'Challa's life — okay, Ross plus Moon Knight, Brother Voodoo and the Panther God! Still suffering, the deposed Wakandan leader finds himself caught in a cat trap with the Avengers and...Deadpool?! Storm of the X-Men offers comfort as Wakanda finds itself on the verge of war with Lemuria and Atlantis — and Klaw, Malice and Man-Ape threaten to destroy the African Avenger once and for all! Plus: Ross spends a day in Mephisto's metaphorical shoes, and Captain America recounts his never-before-revealed wartime meeting with the former Black Panther, T'Chaka! Super heroics meet geopolitics as only Priest can mix them!

CHRISTOPHER JAMES PRIEST is a critically acclaimed novelist and comic book writer. Priest is the first African-American writer and editor to work in the comic book industry. His groundbreaking Black Panther series was lauded by Entertainment Weekly and The Village Voice. Static Shock, which Priest co-created with Milestone Media, Inc., has become the first nationally syndicated African American super-hero animated series, and the first act of 2005's Batman Begins was largely based upon Priest's Batman comic book work. Priest has also written and recorded numerous songs and served as producer and sideman for various bands and choirs, and has developed numerous properties for Hollywood including projects with former BET President Reginald Hudlin (producer of D'Jango Unchained), Hamm & Kitchens, Inc. (Tim Burton Batman films), Edward R. Pressman Productions Inc. and Eddie Murphy Productions. He currently serves as a Baptist pastor in Colorado Springs, where he founded PraiseNet Electronic Media in 2001. Priest is a 4-time American Advertising Federation Addy® award winner for graphic and web design. His most current comics work was the hit series Quantum & Woody from Valiant Entertainment, and a trio of Green Lantern novels from iBooks/Simon & Schuster. Please do not call him "Chris."

I enjoyed reading the perspective of Agent Ross. Friend Ross was hilarious

Volume 3 is the true climax to Priest's series (volume 4 isn't bad, but it's more of a spinoff than a continuation), and contains some of my favorite comics ever. You really need to start with Volume 1 and go in order, but the series continually builds in complexity and consequences, and this is a truly masterful conclusion. Everything going on with the Black Panther in the comics today and the films is informed by this singularly spectacular run.

This is a great jumping on point, if you want an introduction to Black Panther. Christopher Priest creates a political thriller in the vein of Winter soldier.
WE learn how T'Challa balances his role as Avenger, and King of a country. We also learn, that Black Panther should be a major player in the Marvel Universe. Action, humour, intrigue and romance mix to create a fun and intriguing read.

With the movie coming out in 2018 I decided to get my son caught up on the story line. Love the fact that all of the comics are in one book so I don't have to worry about him losing books. Well constructed and easy to read.

Absolutely fantastic book. Priest has continued his era-defining version of the Black Panther. It doesn't have the same punch as Volume 1 but it continues the greatness. Not overly impressed with some of the artwork but the storyline is sharp, witty, punchy and very memorable. Please try these collections if you want to know more about King T'challa (Black Panther).
