Castle: Richard Castle in Deadly Storm (Derrick Storm Graphic Novel Book 1) Kindle & comiXology

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 329 ratings

Castle's hero, Derrick Storm, comes to life in the pages of this all-new graphic novel! This "adaptation" of Derrick Storm's first novel takes our hero from the gritty world of the private eye all the way to the globe-hopping intrigue of the CIA. Eisner Award-winning Marvel writer Brian Michael Bendis and red-hot Osborn writer Kelly Sue DeConnick worked closely with Castle creator Andrew Marlowe to create the one thing millions of Castle fans have been asking for: their first real Derrick Storm adventure - a wall-to-wall, gritty, witty, globe-hopping detective thrill ride for fans of the hit TV show starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, as well as fans of damn good comic books.

I'm so glad I ordered this comic book! The art work is amazing, the story is great and I think it was very smart of ABC to publish a Derrek Storm graphic novel. It's great to have a condensed version of Deadly Storm and I really hope they make a Derrek Storm comic book series. A must have for Castle fans. It's a great addition to my DVD and Nikki Heat collection.

I think this book is amazing because it has been written very well and it's simple to be read. I'm italian but despite that I have understood the whole book easily. So I recommend this book to anyone who likes graphic novels and above all who likes Castle. If you really like Castle I recommend also Heat Wave, Naked Heat and Heat Rises. This was a great first run. The art was beautiful and the sentiments are appreciated (I love the series and the nuance that connected this comic to the show) but the story was VERY light. Not much to it. No twisting and turning. No guessing. No suspense. Not what I expected. As a fan, I would be willing to give their next attempt at the comic a chance. For those not too familiar with the series, I'd suggest looking to different content for entertainment while these guys figure out their process and direction.

As a voracious reader I love all kinds of books on a wide range of topics such as science, adventure, history, military, sports, martial arts, exercise books and numerous other subjects. I also love action packed well-written, and expertly illustrated graphic novels. Two of my favorite characters are the Johana Hex and the Punisher graphic novel series.

While checking on Amazon for some action graphic novels since I had read most of the Hex and Punisher books, I came across this graphic novel (Deadly storm: A Derrick Storm mystery by Richard Castle) and decided to purchase it. In this series Derrick Storm is a former private detective who now works as a CIA operative. In this action packed story Derrick is trying to find a missing husband and he winds up involved with a beautiful CIA operative while in the process of investigating the missing husband.

There are many twists and turns during this story and the illustrations are all in color and look fantastic. If you are into action graphic novels you may want to check out the Storm series.

VERY DISAPOINTED, I didn't even read. As soon as I saw it was in comic book form, I could not even read, print to small.
I didn't realize it was in comic book form or I would not of ordered.

I readily admit to being a die-hard Castle fan, and I'll buy anything that comes out with Castle's name on it. The story was about what I expected from a Richard Castle plot - a little over the top, kind of goofy, and doesn't take itself very seriously, but still well-written and entertaining. The art, not surprisingly, was flawless; I wouldn't expect less from Brian Michael Bendis. I'd love to see more of the Derrick Storm novels come out, whether in text or in graphic novel form.

La BD est sympa mais trop courte comme souvent. On passe un bon moment mais je suppose que c’est plutôt pour les fans de Castle que pour les amateurs de BD
