I liked the part when the mermaid saves the prince,I didn't however like the part when the mermaid goes into the wicked witches layer.
I would tell this book to my friends because they like mermaids.
I chose this book because I love mermaids and have lids of toys which are mermaids.

A little disappointed. The illustrations remind me of 1950's American style comics and the panel style is reminiscent also. As an historical curiosity it's OK, but not enough to hold the attention of my three year old who is conditioned by Disney-Pixar as to what cartoon characters should look like now.

This was a little more challenging to read for my daughter, the story slightly differed from the Disney story, this is not a bad thing when learning to read, it also makes them aware that they can put their own take on any story, yes the pictures are old school style but still nice,
