I had been looking forward to this storyline by DC (something that has been the norm for me over the last many years [as close as I can guess]) since the first issue was released as I am a HUGE DC Comics fan. In my opinion, they can do no wrong (or very rarely do any wrong) when it comes to "mini" and "Event" series, so I am always excited when one is released as a TPB. As excited as I was for this TPB, I was more excited when I ordered it and received it shortly thereafter. I totally appreciate the speed in shipping.and arrivals and was just as happy, if not happier, with the pristine condition in which it arrived. I would definitely order from this vendor again in the future, and looking forward to it.

I assume that this was modeled somewhat after the "Batman/Superman Generations" series/omnibus that came out previously. (As far as I could determine, the two titles were not related, so reading one does not facilitate reading the second.) I found this difficult to follow. It was obviously written by committee and not all the parts flow together well. It appeared that the authors wanted to use about every character from the DC universe, from the 1930's to the 31st century. Several versions of Kamandi, Sinestro, Booster Gold, Superman, etc. add to the confusion. The adversary is a "former Lord of Order who embraced Chaos", but that is never actually explained. The book concludes with Waverider attempting to explain a new concept (new to me) called the "Linearverse". After reading it through a couple of times, I am still not sure I can easily explain it. Most of the artwork is gorgeous, but does not add to understanding of the overall story.

Full of fun surprises, like original Batman with purple gloves, and Booster Gold being taken seriously. Different roles too, like Green Lantern Sinestro, or Steel being a mentor to Superboy.

I had promised myself I would never purchase anything from Marvel or DC post 2016 ever again, because its crap, but I pulled the trigger anyway, as it sounded interesting.

Now I remember why I made that promise.

This is, hands down, the worst attempt, by either company, to do, yet another, "the universe will never be the same again" stupid plot we see every year now. Luckily, this one was short.

The artwork, although varied, stays decent throughout, but the writing, dialogue and regurgitated/overdone plot are absolutely awful. I could go on for quite a while, but I'll leave it at that.

Also, the Arrowverse's very different version of "Crisis On Infinite Earths" seems to have been the basis for this garbage, as there are more than a few similarities. I'm actually surprised DC let this out.
