About the Author

Ryo Hanada (June 15, 1987) is one of the rising stars of Japanese comics today. Winner of SquareEnix's 2012 Young GanGan Manga Award's Special Prize for her submission BLIND, she quickly caught the attention of bigger publishers.

After a couple of years in self-publishing, in 2013 she made her professional debut with Kodansha's premiere manga magazine MORNING (publishers of mega-hits such as Chi's Sweet Home, Drops of God, Vagabond). Her first work for them was Devils' Line, which is already captivating audiences with its stunning artwork and interesting mix of the supernatural and modern-day espionage.

The story is starting to get deeper into the terrorist group and looks like it is working up to the back story of Anzai. I honestly love the character development and the artwork helps me truly feel the emotions the story is trying to tell. Whether it be laughter or sorrow, I can feel the connection. There’s already some character development starting, more introduced but nothing is feeing overlooked or rushed. Excited to get more back story, too!

Totally digging this series. It feels longer than a typical manga. There is a lot of action and the promise of romance. The white haired guy is the comic relief/sage advice guy. The plot has definitely thickened and we don't know who to trust. Can't wait for the next one!
