Classic drawing and story telling. It is a great story for fans of comic books. I like the youthful Spiderman, without all the worries and problems that have usually followed him. He is more joyful and less tortured by the tragedies of his life.

This is a interesting start for what will be a big story. I know not everyone likes the idea with Cap changing sides and I don't know if I like it either, but it does make for good reading.

I give Secret Empire 4 stars. Normally I love black & white comics that use red only sparingly as an emphasis color. However, this artwork just did not do it for me. Despite being black & white it was too busy, especially when too much red was used. The character designs were not to my taste either. The story, though, was flipping awesome. I know it's sort of a recap or prelude type comic, but it's told so well. I wish the art was more to my taste because every panel works so perfectly to tell the story, and then you have to see them all as a page to make it complete. It was great!

The Spider-man story I give 2 stars. It's everything I never liked about Spider-man comics. The bad puns, and jokes, the lame fight scenes, the stupid repartee. Ugh. The art doesn't suck, but Peter doesn't always look the same. And I know the ending is supposed to get me hyped to buy the next one, but it definitely didn't. It was awkward and detached. It made no sense. It just popped in 4 panels and quit. Not my idea of fun reading.

I wanted to give this more than 3 stars, but just couldn't. Still for a FCBD comic I'd recommend it, even for just the first story. And hey if you like the art better than I did it just makes the story that much better.

This was great until I realised this was the comic series that turned Captain America, the hero created by Jews as a source of empowerment during/after WWII and the horrendous things that happened to them, into a HYDRA member, mostly commonly known as Neo-Nazis in the movies! Whether they're NNs in these comics is unknown but horrible move man. Horrible. Move.

The artwork is good, the story is REALLY well written but for the first paragraph of this review, enjoy a 1.5/5 star review.

I don't want to give spoiler but the very unexpected person turned out to be Hydra. I have been told about this but even then I was shocked.
