Frontlines: Requiem #3 (of 4) Kindle & comiXology

3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 42 ratings

Although badly damaged, the Phalanx miraculously makes its way to Earth, ahead of the impending Lanky invasion. As the ship nears orbit, it is passed by a new defense force heading back into battle, including Commander Soraya Yamin's brother. Convinced that her brother Darius is doomed to die, Soraya hails her commanding officers, attempting to have the ships abandon their futile course.

From acclaimed writer Ivan Brandon (Drifter, Viking), this four-issue comic book series features a new stand-alone story set within the action-packed military sci-fi world of Marko Kloos's bestselling Frontlines novels. Includes stunning artwork from Gary Erskine (Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Star Wars).

Marko Kloos was born and raised in Germany, in and around the city of Münster. In the past, he has been a soldier, bookseller, freight dock worker, and corporate IT administrator before he decided that he wasn’t cut out for anything other than making stuff up for a living. Marko writes primarily science fiction and fantasy—his first genre love ever since his youth, when he spent his allowance mostly on German SF pulp serials. He likes bookstores, kind people, October in New England, scotch, and long walks on the beach with scotch. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife, two children, and a roving pack of vicious dachshunds.

Ivan Brandon was born of Cuban immigrants in New York City in 1976. Nice art, but the story was a little flat. I have read the first two books and enjoyed them greatly, but this story line lacked the same suspense and action.

How do I say JUST MEH in the required twenty words? Ugh, peas on this one. Seriously, just pass on it.

It wasn’t clear in the description that this was a comic book or I wouldn’t have ordered it in the first place. I know there’s a way to return them but finding the way to do it took far too long and I eventually gave up.

HUGE fan all of Marko Kloos "Frontlines" series books, but these are utter garbage. I purchased two of these new "books" the moment I received an email from Amazon notifying they were available. I purchased by sheer reflex - did not stop & read the precis or "look inside". More Frontlines - I MUST HAVE NOW ! Never so disappointed. Never, ever again will I buy a book from Amazon - even from one of my favourite authors - without carefully checking it first. Wish I could get my money back.
