Haikyuu!! V26 concludes the middle of the major arc downtime. The Datekou’s go out with a bang while the Karasuno’s final touches on their strategy start to make themselves known. There is nothing really shocking in this volume this time (like Kageyama yelling at Nishinoya, or having to embrace his tyrant tendencies), however, there are many moments that we see other Karasuno’s get some awesome lines and moments of discovery (Hinata and Tsukishima especially, Hinata noticing things about Tsukishima’s playstyle and Kogane’s, Tsukishima noticing what the Datekou playstyle is, etc).

So overall not much to say about this volume in general as it is a midarc thing, but it does provide some fun moments. People who have wanted some Shimizu action get a full chapter for her.

Sketches and profiles are the only extra benefits in this volume.

A little slow compared to other volumes, but still... <3

Never thought I see myself get angsty in starting a manga, but this volume was it.

My brain knows we are getting closer and closer to the end of the content the anime covered and into new territory. I am 100% here for that, but I am LOVING being able to experience this part I saw in the anime in it's original manga form.

This volume I feel is like the anticipation volume because everything Karasuno has been doing is slowly leading them to their goal of winning nationals. I love the days before they left for nationals and the ending of the match with Date Tech. They (Date Tech) have really leveled up and really love their team! (Sort of surprising how much they have grown too though!) I also loved the "meeting" between the thirds years from both teams as well as Koganegawa being so friendly and extroverted. He has become one of my new fave characters!

Hinata's sister is adorable! I loved that brief conversation her and Hinata have about Hinata being best friends with the ball! <3

Daichi's dream was HILARIOUS! I loved the third years being together on their pilgrimage and how Kiyoko encouraged them. LOVED the I'm Awesome the movie! (So thankful Ukai is their coach and that he has friends who can do awesome things like that. <3)

Also, deeply loved hearing more about Kiyoko and seeing her shine! I'm so glad that she came to the volleyball team and how began to care for the guys. She is amazing and I know Karasuno is in good hands with Yachi! <3

Also also, the chapter image of chapter 226 was one of my faves. <3

Another epic volume and SO excited for this upcoming match!
