Captain America and his odd group of Nazi Fighters are back! This is the second installment of the Complete Collection of the Invaders. This comic was written and produced in the 70's, but all the action is from World War II. The stories are very campy, as was the style back then, but the charm and honest fun shines through in every panel. It is a nice change of pace from modern, darker comic stories.

The artwork is wonderful, and probably the number one reason I bought this collection, especially the full color covers that grace each issue.

A fantastic collection, and perfect light reading material for kids of all ages!

Volume 2 continues the original run of the Invaders and includes the 90's mini-series, What If? #4 (really a possible adventure of the heroes after WWII), and more.

I found the stories interesting and the art improved over the first volume. If you enjoy the Golden Age and comics from the 70's you will enjoy this volume!

This volume wasn’t as good as the first one. For starters Bucky and Toro left the team to form their own team with new hero’s Golden Girl and the Human Top called the Kid Commando’s. This team was probably going to get their comic, but that for some reason it never came about. They could of been marvels attempt to create a teen team, like the Teen Titans, I guess we will ever know. Bucky and Toro belong with the Invaders period. I’m also sorry the comic ended on issue 41, I wish it could of kept going on. What I didn’t like most about this volume was, is that they included the Invaders four part mini series and the Invaders giant issue number 2. Both were not very good and I hated them. The only thing they did right was add What If 4. That’s the comic that should of been after issue 41. That issue of What If is one my favorite comics and a proper way to end volume number 2. The Invaders was a great series and I’m glad I read every issue.

Sadly, not quite as good as I remembered. The artwork does improve over the first volume, and the series gets better once they bench Bucky and Toro, but like the first one, I mostly just like the covers!
