I really enjoyed this Bond adventure. Bond is a beginner whose instincts lead him into deeper and deeper trouble. It's great fun, but is only part of the story. It leaves you ready to read the rest of the tale.

I enjoyed where they went with this one. You get a deeper insight into how he got his 'sea legs' and meet some cool characters along the way. Very inventive story line and very much enjoyed this one. Volume 1 is a must-have if you enjoyed this one. But if you have this one, you likely own or have read Volume 1 already :)

This is another great graphic novel about James' early years, an extension from the army and the process of slowly evolving into the famed super spy that we all know.

We read about how Bond slowly starts acquiring the skills that he would use with elan in his more famous adventures. His first tryst with cards, learning the ropes of shadowing and covert work across borders.
These adventures stay true to Ian Fleming's original stories and are sometimes racist.
Enjoyable adventure.

If you are a fan of Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels, then this graphic novel is another fine addition to the universe, focussing on the further war-time exploits of Bond, as he slowly starts evolving in the character that we know.

Volume 2 picks up soon after the events of Volume 1, and features several recurring characters and plotlines which are developed further, so it certainly helps if you have read that first.

More excellent artwork and another compelling storyline, make this a must for any Bond fan!
