Issue 10: J. Jonah Jameson offers Jessica a job. He wants her to - what else? - find out who Spider-Man is. She, um, I'll let you read it for yourself. You'll like it.
Issues 16-21: There's a Spider-Woman in Jessica's bathroom. She stumbles around stoned and then flies off into the night. As Jessica tries to find her, she learns that this is Mattie Franklin, adopted daughter of J. Jonah Jameson. In trying to talk to Jameson, his paranoia about super-heroes makes him think Jessica kidnapped Mattie. And then the original Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, gets involved...
Also, Jessica's relationship with Scott Lang (Ant-Man) develops.
As usual in this series, Bendis is a master at characterization. Although Jameson is kind of a loopy bugger with his hatred for super-heroes (particularly You Know Who), Bendis still makes you feel kinda sorry for the guy.
The next volume (and final, unless you include The Pulse) is due to be reprinted this month.

As a costumed adventurer, Jessica Jones was plagued by a lack of self-esteem and an inability to master her superhuman powers. Eventually she realized that she would forever be considered a second-rate super hero, and hung up her cape and tights. Now a tough-as-nails private investigator, Jessica returns home to find a mysterious girl in a costume hiding in her apartment, but the girl flies away before Jessica can find out who she is. Through sources, Jessica discovers that her intruder is Mattie Franklin, A.K.A. Spider-Woman, a teenage super hero with a connection to Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson. Now, with Mattie in danger, Jessica Jones must seek help from an unlikely source — Jessica Drew, the original Spider-Woman — to bring her home alive!

It is difficult to believe that the same man who wrote
Powers Daredevil X men
Avengers is writing for DC
And very poorly.
Alias was a real gamechanger.

I am really enjoying these Alias comic books, they are a fast, fun read. Plus, Jessica is one of my favorite Marvel characters.

Bendis is on the top of his game here and does a lot with the superhero elements of Alias that the show didn't. The arc involving Spiderwoman treats the Avengers realistically as does Jones's relationship with Ant Man play relationship dymanics in a believable away. This does suffer from late 90s/ early aughts chatty dialogue that can sometimes feel forced, but paired with Michael Gaydos's New York, this ages surprisingly well despite that.

The third volume of Alias heavily features J. Jonah Jameson as a character, which worked out surprisingly well. I thought this was the best of the first three volumes.
The first issue was #10, the one skipped during Vol. 2. In it, Jameson hires Jessica to find spiderman. The story uses a unique dialogue style that YMMV on enjoying, but it was certainly different. Meanwhile the third arc features Jessica attempting to locate spiderwoman, with the best detective work the series has yet had. this was well worth the read.

Flawed on so many levels , Jessica Jones is a hero for ages. I'd want my daughter to not grow like her but at the same be just like her. Bendis has created a real superhero who just happens to be a woman. Mystery, intrigue, comedy, drama, romance and occasionally some ass-kicking, Alias has it all. Do yourself a favor and read this entire collection .

How in the hell did I miss this comic? Every time I asked people in comic book stores to recommend something to me, NOBODY SUGGESTED THIS! This is better than the NETFLIX SHOW AND I LOVE THAT SHOW! I’m going to read every book,

Um título encantador

De todos os 4 volumes do título, esse é o "mais fraco" - não que isso seja algum demérito, pois ainda é sensacional. A arte casa muito bem com a escrita do Bendis, e é obrigatório para os fãs da personagem.

Gripping read with excellent characterisations. This was a real page turner, puts pay to the glossy superhero with a darker subtext and complex personalities.
