The more Tetsu gets to know Mogumo, the more he finds himself falling for his non-binary classmate! On top of that, he's also dealing with the aftermath of an intense encounter with Kotone. Thankfully, Café Question's summer campaign prep is in full swing -- which means even more quality time with Mogumo. With a little luck, maybe Tetsu can start to understand these newfound feelings!

Editorial Reviews

Review

"From the start of its second chapter, [Love Me for Who I Am] had me mesmerized...relatable conflicts and challenges fill nearly every panel. The raw emotion of these are made palatable to even the most casual readers, though, by its sugary coating."
--Ashley Hakker,
Anime Herald

"Clear, endearing art enhances the narrative’s accessibility... Manga creator Konayama, while not nonbinary, embraces difficult conversations leading to meaningful moments...making this an appealing queer series opener for rom-com fans." --
Publishers Weekly

Perfect LGBTQ Manga!!!

Perfect LGBTQ Manga!!!
What I love about this series is how it covers many of young teens struggles with both their sexual and gender identities and does so with well written characters. Volume 1 was good and Volume 2 continues the momentum. I will certainly be getting Volume 3 soon.

This series has taken straight/bi, trans, & NB/X people, & portrays them with dignity & kindness. Now things aren't all coming up roses, & some characters are unsure of themselves, while others are worried how others view them. All in all this story gives such a wonderful look at the challenges that NB/X, trans, & LGTBQ+ people go through. This series should be read by any teen/pre-teen who is curious about or questions their sexuality. This story shows that NB/X, trans, & LGTB+ people aren't "special", they are just the same as everyone else. This story shows that it's OK to be the person you ARE, not the person others see you as or think you should be. My friends, be true to yourself. Embrace the real you, regardless of who that is, & realize that while not everyone may accept you, that your opinion of yourself is the only opinion that matters. Love yourself. You all are children of the Living God, who is a God of LOVE. Don't let others tell you who they expect you to be. You be the person you TRULY ARE, & don't look back. Art, just amazing. The outfits are just so cute! The hairstyles are cute, too. Dialogue, heartfelt, loving, kind, accepting, supportive, & truthful. Characters, likeable, loveable, relatable, interesting, & adorable. To just say this is a wonderful series is an understatement, to be sure.

There was a significant improvement in this volume in how it treats it's trans characters and dealing with pronouns. It made me feel a lot more at ease about this manga and makes me really want to read more volumes. Also the backstory for Kotone was so relatable and heartbreaking I just wanted to give her a hug after that chapter.

The writing and pictures were amazing in this book. The book came slightly bent so when it’s on my shelf it does look a bit odd but it’s nothing crazy or too serious.

I was really excited to finally have some non binary and LGBTQ representation but I just realized the author of these books is a lolicon, and a p3do. If you aren’t aware, lolicon are attracted to lolis, small girls. The book itself is really good and I personally like the story but the authors background just ruins it for me a little. Other than all that the book itself is pretty good, just the things about the author threw me off and I am disappointed.

Both volumes have been excellent and showing all kinds of different people with different sexuality's. I like how each character has there own personality and are not just how they identify.
