A woman goes from the top of a building and lands on the top of a car. Why? How? Her husband, an investigative reporter, and he on-the-side lover, an ex-Marine, separately try to find out what happened and why.
It's actually a pretty good story, but there's one point of foretelling that is so blatant that it some of the answers to part of the mystery becomes clear pretty immediately. It would be one thing if it happened at the beginning of the book, but it happens in what was issue #3, and sure enough plays out exactly as you'd figure in #4. Still, it was an enjoyable read.
The art is fairly minimalistic. Not a ton of backgrounds, all in black and white. Here's my issue: the artist, Koray Kuranel, does his own pencils and inks. It looks too messy a lot of times. Meanwhile, there's a bunch of sketches in the back, as well as original penciled pages. The pencils are really good! I wish he got someone else to do the inks because it could have been better.
All that said, I still enjoyed the story and art. Probably could have jumped to 4.5 stars with a different inker.
