Okafor crafted a great story and possible future for Shuri and Wakanda. Trying to unite the Diaspora and establish a better defense against threats is an awesome undertaking. Shuri finds herself and a few friends that help her save the day. I cannot wait to read the next series. Very well written!!!!

This was an excellent read. It basically showed that being yourself is always the best option. It showed that giving your best is usually more than enough.

Great story from the beginning to the end

Shuri Vol. 2 picks up right where Vol. 1 ended. Shuri's search for signals similar to the one left behind by the space lubber have led her to New York City, where she helps Spider-Man (Miles) foil a bank robbery. The person who is robbing the bank has a glove that gives off a signal very similar that the one left by the space lubber. Despite wanting to return to Wakanda immediately, Shuri's mother tells her to stay in NYC and help Spider-Man with this situation. When that's completed, she can return to Wakanda and finish her work with the giant bug.

This was a great continuation of the story that started in Vol. 1. Not only is Shuri able to stop the destruction caused by the space bug - in a rather unique way, I might add - but she starts listening to herself, to her intuition, and realizes not only who she is, but who she is not.

As with Vol. 1, the artwork in Vol. 2 was wonderful! And I absolutely LOVED this cover! So powerful!

If you are a fan of the Black Panther or Shuri, I highly recommend reading both volumes of this graphic novel. Definitely worth it!

Despite some filler, this was pretty good. Shuri's role as the Black Panther goes into why mantle bearing can be so difficult with superheroes. Shuri knows that she's just keeping her brother's seat warm, the only reason she's wearing the suit is because her powers are going out of whack. Plus, the plot goes into how having a legacy that hasn't been fully grown into is kind of bland. Shuri grew as a character beyond the Black Panther and going back into it is just a regression at this point.

But I have to say while I like that plot, twists, and characters, the plot with the space Bug is really just weird. Not the fun kind, just developed for the sake of a plot. First it ate energy, then it ate music, now it eats memories, there's no consistency.
