I DEMAND volume 3!!!

This is one of my all time favorite series left orphaned by that infamous publisher, TOKYOPOP!! Seriously, tokyopop is the FOX channel of manga publishers! It's no wonder their manga publishing section went under, they've alienated fans.

Now that I've gotten my rant out of the way, This was a fantastic read! I was hoping for more Kogurai and Kana interaction . . . but I'm sure that that will be addressed in the third volume . . .IF it ever comes OUT! But that being said, the character chemistry between the cast overall was very fun to watch. My only real note is that some of the text baloons got screwed up, so watch out for that.

In this Original English Manga from Segamu and artist Melissa DeJesus the story continues for Kana and her classmate girlfriends in the lost elf/demon world of Sokora. The fish outta water humor holds up despite not having the benefit of goblins popping up in the girl's shower (see vol. 1!) Tien, Tristan, Salome, Tamara, Julie, and Kana/Veila must all band together now... if they could ever stop fighting amongst themselves! This story pops along with crisp, funny dialogue, impressive expressive artwork, a wild premise, and a healthy dose of fanservice.

uh...the lead up in book one was for the vampire and Kana...apears in short dream sequence. book spends lots of time making as much sense as having 'freaky hand things' known as feet.
book one was a riot...book to...let me scratching my head. still beautiful art work, story line moves along, but I just couldn't follow it.
probably the best was the tien and tristan filler at the very end.

I did not enjoy this one as much as I did the first one. Maybe because I was expecting there to be more interaction with the vampire demon. Instead there are new charcters introduced - including a new bad guy. I still like the art style and it was a pretty good read. If you're looking for a light, funny read this is a nice choice.

For what it is. But it's hampered by a not having a true ending. An issue many series by this publisher had at the time.
