This book of the Spider duo was interesting, but than the first book. The introduction of Miles Morales as the new (black) Spider-man was a homerun. So much has happened since he's showed up and there's no way of slowing him down.

Great story surprised that taskmaster earth- 1610 was there. The miles Morales of earth-616 had a sad story.

Beautiful condition, arrived way sooner than expected, and is an overall amazing 2nd half of the story.
The book thicknes is like 3 or 4 comics stacked and pressed so it's not too thick, but thick enough for you to go, "oh baby"

it was somewhat hard to follow if you're not caught up with the whole storyline prior to this event.

Not as good as the first Spider-men but it was never going to be. Still though, it was a great read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Miles and Miles

Miles and Peter together again. There was a question left hanging at the end of 2012's Spider-Men. Five years was a long time to wait for the answer here in 2017's Spider-Men II. But then that's a year or so in Marvel comic time, so not too long for them. Peter and Miles team-up to find the answer, will they be the same after they find out?

Spider-Men II has a much better story than Spider-Men, which was mostly mcguffin driven. This is very much more character driven. And the balance between the characters is better too. It skews a bit more toward Miles Morales and less toward Peter, but then the plot is a lot more Miles Morales focussed. There's a lot of bonding between the two Spider-Men, if you came looking for an all out action adventure this may not be for you.

It's nice that the most emotional scenes don't involve the characters you might expect. It's not got the emotional depth of Spider-Men issue 4, but it's still reasonably strong.

Pichelli's art is again excellent. There's quite a few scenes of the two Spider-Men just bonding, so Bendis is making her task quite tough. Her art gets around that by taking their masks off a lot. She's great at these quiet moments, and then she's great at mayhem and blowing things up.

As The Godfather proved, a sequel can be better than the original. This is well worth a read.
