Some really good stories in here. Really enjoyed the Apollo astronaut story. The backstory on 0718 was cool. Enjoyed that. Always thought he was just an alien. Didn't care for the gender swap much until the normal team came back into the story.

I'm greatly enjoying the newer series but I think there's a glitch in the first story(this could be a bit of a spoiler so if you don't want to know please stop reading here)the first story is a parallel universe that trades the genders of each captain.so kirk ends up meeting the female version of himself. Now this series is based off of the newer films so if we go back to where the reboot starts we know that Kirk's father died saving him and his mother.this is odd because if this is the case at hand the female version of kirk is well....illogical.she should not exist at all because the male Kirk's father dies to save him and his mother.by that logic the female version of kirk can't exist because her mom would die.this thought is not explored or explained by any reasoning but because there's a panel that indicates the female version of Kirk's mom is piloting a ship.this might make another addition to the storyline later that I don't know about because I'm reading in numerical order.

Very good art and story line.

A fascinating mix of old stories and new adventures! Not to mention a thought-provoking reminder that there isn't always an ideal solution to a problem.

This issue contains an ok classic Star Trek tale(s), not really the best ones, but enjoyable ones, specially the last one.

Still, I feel like the series are going downhill compared to the first issues... With the exception of Volume 9, that I can't review here because I got it as a gift. That one is really cool, featuring Q from TNG.

As always, star trek novels are great, a good read.

Very good stories, but the author needs to learn the difference between a logarithm and an algorithm, I doubt the characters would run a 'logarithm' on the Enterprise computer.

A subspace anomaly causes the crew of the 'U.S.S. Enterprise' to meet their counterparts from a parallel universe and the origins of Officer 0718 are explained in the latest missions for Kirk and his crew.

Johnson's continuing storyline is effective and begins to move away from simple "go-overs" of the Original Series episodes. Some lovely use of shading and colour add to the quality of this graphic collection.

This volume has brought me more certainty of the Enterprise's ability to continue entertaining the trekkie masses with this alternative Star Trek that the recent films have created (with the timeline altered), I am more interested in what the series will unravel for the next 2016 movie to come.

The quality of this series has dropped considerably. This series had a lot of potential at the start but now it is very subpar. I couldn't imagine buying this as it original came out, a 20 page monthly comic for about 4-5 dollars each. IDW needs to do better.
