Great book capturing the essence of love, Sci-fi and Star Trek without compromising any of those subjects. Fine read, interesting characters I'd love to see again exclusively introduced here.

Loved it! Paul Cornell takes us on a whirlwind tour of a romance for James T. Kirk that spans the five-year mission and the TOS movies, taking him from young Captain to Admiral to Captain again, and chronicling his involvement with Captain Laura Rhone- a lady who is every bit his equal.

This is great back story which would have made a rather good episode. From TOS to star trek 4 the voyage home . Nice read

A nice little story of Captain Kirk meeting a kindred spirit. It gave me the satisfying feeling that Kirk could have had a lasting partner who is on his level.
