It’s the TMNT event of 2020! Springing from the minds of TMNT co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird comes an epic like you've never seen before! In a future NYC far different than the one we know today, a lone surviving Turtle goes on a seemingly hopeless mission to obtain justice for his fallen family and friends. Kinetic layouts from Eastman, moody inks from Andy Kuhn and a thrilling script full of surprises from longtime TMNT scribe Tom Waltz all combine to make this one of the most memorable TMNT stories you will ever read! This is a perennial TMNT tale that can't be missed!

Has action and gives us a good mystery until the end, but it does have a bit of language for a kids character but it’s fine

Great story, great drawing. The story is very easy to follow want to find out who the turtle is who survived.

Great start and bit of background on this first issue. Brought back some old names and faces and introduced some new ones, excited to see where they take it.

As a long time fan of TMNT, I was worried about the early interviews with the series leads saying this would be a 'dark, violent, R-rated' take on the turtles.
Fortunately, these statements were a bit over-hyped.
Make no mistake, this is a very adult look at a potential future for our heroes: one lone turtle, the last of his brothers, starts the story attempting a suicide mission on an enigmatic villain. But it's excellently-written, with an internal dialogue very reminiscent of classic Batman; the art also has a gritty style that is appealing to the eye, balancing the contrast between dark shadows and futuristic neon lights.
I don't want to give away too much, but the book sets up some great plot hooks, and I'm stoked for more.

Very fun start point. The most interesting Ninja turtles story of my entire adult life. Ninja turtles meets Batman The dark Knight returns. If they can pull this off through the whole series this won't just be the best ninja turtle comic book ever. But it could be among the best comic book runs of any kind ever.

4/5 stars Because I felt rushed at the end. The story has great pacing through the intro and travel to their second scene, the metropolis. I feel like the metropolis could have taken the srcond half of this comic though. I think there was a lot of dramatic moments that could've been expanded on, finishing with the protagonists' arrival at their third scene, the tower. This comic could have ended at the enterance to that third scene because a plan, or the neglect of a good plan could've improved the character dynamic of an enraged protagonist.
The following comic could have picked up just before the enraged protagonist acted to gain access to the tower and then end on an old friend's arrival, giving several panels to introduce the gothic girl.
Whereas, the protagonist reaches three of four goals before being given only one page to fight and fall to their doom. There were some plot elements that could've been expanded.
What I did like was everything else. I'd even recommend this to several of my friends. Good comic, I'll be watching and waiting for more.

SPOILER ALERT! Very good first issue. Never would of thought it was Mickey (orange) being the last survivor of the four Bros. Being that he is the most clumsy and silliest of them all.

Bel comic, le tartarughe ninja sono i miei idoli da sempre. Siamo alle prese con un Leonardo che cerca di mettere a segno una vendetta. Senza riuscirci. Acquisterò gli altri numeri.

I’m enjoying it so much. It’s dark and reminds me of the old comics. Definitely will be reading this. Excellent work.
