I wasn't expecting a comic book. I read the Horde prequel and it was a novel. I like that they changed it up. Enjoyed the story and i wanted more on Mediv, but hey. More content to flush out I guess.

I Love all Blizzard products, you can always expect quality and this is no exception.

Whereas the Durotan novel served as a prequel to the movie from the Orc side, this graphic novel serves as a prequel from the Human side. We are introduced to three very important characters in Warcraft lore; Medivh the Guardian, Prince Llane, and Anduin Lothar. The story here chronicles how Prince Llane becomes King of Stormwind, and gives you some backstory on Medivh.
There is nothing here that is particularly great, but everything is serviceable. It tells the story clearly, and the art isn't bad. Everything is just over very quickly and overall it doesn't seem particularly necessary.

Very disappointed with this graphic novel. The dialogue was terrible and uninteresting, the story was okay at best... the book itself came with dents on the spine. Take away the hard cover, call this the first installment of a comic book series, and it would be worth the $5 you'd normally spend on comic book. It is not worth the $15 (and absolutely not the $23 I paid when I pre-ordered).

Great primer for the movie, better art than the old comic book series.

The art is simply not good, often times I couldn't even tell what I was looking at. I also didn't care for the writing or the way the story is told. I don't recommend this book.

etwas irritierend...

good as a prequel to the movie brings the reader ...

good as a prequel to the movie brings the reader to a bit of background about the the characters of the movie. drawing are nice but the drama and experience of the comic is clearly fake. nowhere near the standard of japanese comic in terms of drama experience from the comic scenes
