Wasteland has it all.
Storytelling. "Western" style Post-Apocalypse adventure. "Indie" stylistic line art in black and white. Atmosphere and world-building. Did I mention Storytelling.
Fantastic writing with high-action art that seems at home in this genre.

I was a little leery of picking up this volume after Volume 3 wrapped up a large part of what had been going on, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The story shifts gears and follows the quest for ah-ree-aas-ee (Area C?) and an encounter with a semi-nomadic tribe whose culture is based on dog pack dynamics and the extensive use of dogs for hunting and protection. Before reading this I thought the idea might be handled poorly but the author pulls it off really well, and makes the tribe dynamics interesting and functional. If you liked the previous volumes definitely pick this one up.

This is my favorite volume in the series. It’s a side story but it adds depth and another layer of world building. I enjoyed learning about the different tribes and their culture, feuds etc. I could definitely read more stories about the Dog Tribes and isn’t that what good stories are, wanting to continue on?

Great read.... not exactly part of the whole Wasteland premis but a good interlude on the way to A-Ree-Yass-I.
