Wayward is an excellent snapshot of Japan in the 21st century, as famed translator Zack Davisson opines in his opening remarks, and Bleeding Cool calls it potentially the next Saga. Unfortunately, I can only see it from the perspective of someone who lived in Japan, and while I enjoyed the detail, structure, and story, not to mention the artwork, coloring, and lettering, I wonder what type of universal appeal it will have. Everyone who's interested in Japan who reads comics should give this a look, and I hope it gets some crossover exposure. ****1/2
And you know how most graphic novels switch to a worse artist after the first graphic novel? This one doesn't! The great art continues throughout the second graphic novel, too. Thank you!
If you enjoyed Saga then you'll probably enjoy this.

Pros:
-Amazing art
-Unique plot
-Unique powers
-Interesting characters
-Cool settings
-Cool mix of folklore and modern times.
Cons:
-I don't think the other characters were introduced well enough. Hopefully we will get to learn more about them as time goes on.
Zeichnung: Sehr schön umgesetzt. Farbenfroh und dennoch nicht zu viel.
something that has had an honest appraisal, so thanks all round
As for the story, for some reason I have the middle of the tale, so now I can read it in order and keep
a look out for Vol. 6. It happens
Very good though - I particularly enjoy the lessons in Japanese folk-lore at the back - very informative,
and probably worth the price of admission alone
