About the Author

Making her DC Comics writing debut, Meredith Finch and along with her husband, highly popular veteran artist David Finch (FOREVER EVIL, JUSTICE LEAGUE), team up for a new era of WONDER WOMAN. Meredith has previously written Tales from Oz for Zenescope.

After co-creating the title ASCENSION and penciling the first four issues of
Aphrodite IX for Image Comics, David Finch moved to Marvel Comics where he went on to illustrate acclaimed runs of Ultimate X-Men, The New Avengers, Moon Knight and Ultimatum. In 2010, he was lured to DC Comics by the siren call of the Caped Crusader and began his career there with contributions to the landmark BATMAN #700 and then as penciler of BATMAN: THE RETURN. He then began writing and drawing the ongoing series BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT. After an 18-issue run on that title, Finch moved on to his current assignments; working with writer Geoff Johns first on JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and currently on FOREVER EVIL, the first universe-wide crossover of The New 52.

Collects Wonder Woman (2011) 48-52 and Wonder Woman Rebirth # 1

Issue 48 (Written by Meredith Finch/pencils by David Finch) Wonder Woman faces a new enemy - Doctor Poison!
Issues 49 (M.Finch/D. Finch) Baby Zeke falls ill. Diana deals with Hecate for a cure.
Issue 50 - Story 1 (M. Finch/D. Finch) The quest for the cure continues. Diana encounters the Cyclopes and Typhoeus.
- Story 2 (M. Finch/Miguel Mendoza) - Donna Troy has become Fate (the Greek Fate, not Dr. Fate) and she's trying to work out what that means.
Issue 51 (M. Finch/Miguel Mendoza) - Diana goes to Tartarus looking for the Hecatonchires.
Issue 52 (M. Finch/Miguel Mendoza) - The end of the "cure Zeke" quest.

David Finch's first issue, number 36, had a number of panels where Wonder Woman looked pretty silly, but his style has improved to the point where this is no longer a problem. Miguel Mendoza was a good replacement artist. The story is okay, maybe a little obvious. Three and a half stars bumped up to 4 because the art's nice.

Wonder Woman: Rebirth # 1 - (Written by Greg Rucka! /Pencils by Matthew Clark, Sean Parsons, and Liam Sharp) - Wonder Woman doesn't know who she is anymore. She uses her lasso on herself, and discovers she's been lied to. She seeks answers in Olympus, but it's empty.
I don't know why the dust jacket calls this a "preview" of Wonder Woman: Rebirth # 1 since the book contains the entire issue.

In spite of internet rumors to the contrary, Rebirth is not a reboot (go ask Geoff Johns if you don't believe me). Wonder Woman is getting a new origin, but all her previous adventures in this volume still happened. So far. As far as we know.

Update December 2016 - Wonder Woman's relationship with Ares is apparently changing, which calls into question a lot of the New 52 run.

I had ordered a similar book once so I kind of knew what to expect. A collection of a few stories. So, more stories, more art. My personal opinion is if you don't really have a whole lot of extra space books like this are good because it does have more than one story, but I like individual issues also. Good buy.

Beautiful art, good storytelling and a satisfying conclusion to Wonder Woman's New 52 run(though that tag hasn't been used since volume 6). At the end, the story segues into the Rebirth series. I love the new 52 costume, the use of platinum was very refreshing and I am REALLY going to miss the chokers. That said, if you have all the other volumes, you should definitely get this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonder woman's New 52 story comes to an end.

Wonder woman Vol.9: resurrection, brings Diana's story to it's conclusion. Before the main story begins, wonder woman confronts an old enemy called Doctor poison. Diana manages to foil doctor poisons latest attempt to try launching an attack on some of the world's politicians. Doctor poison attempts to launch a deadly chemical attack, on a summit being attended by important political figurehead's from around the world. Wonder woman successfully stops the dangerous doctor poison in her tracks. Who is arrested And, taken away in a police car. Will she be back again? Only time will tell.

Wonder woman returns to Olympus, to discover that baby zeke has been infected by a mysterious illness. It's up to Diana to find a cure before it's too late. Hera sends Diana to Gaia's temple and, seek her help to cure zeke. Instead she meets hecate, who tells wonder woman that she must find three orbs. Which are hidden at the bottom of hera's pool. On her return to Olympus Diana discovers that all is not what it seemed to be. Hecate warns Diana that Hera is not completely trustworthy. Will wonder woman be able to save zeke?. Will she find out what Hera has been keeping from her?. If you haven't read vol.9 yet, then I won't give anything away.

The writer Meredith finch brings the final chapter to wonder woman's story, of the new 52 to it's conclusion. The artwork by David finch and Miguel mendonca is beautifully done. Included in this volume is preview of wonder woman rebirth volume 1. Written by Greg rucka and, illustrated by Liam Sharp.

I've enjoyed reading all the volumes of New 52 Wonder woman, from volumes 1 to 9. Looking forward to reading Wonder woman rebirth.
